Welcome to Willows Cattery
No checking in or out is allowed outside of our opening hours.
Although we will take every care and attention, cats are admitted at the owners' risk.
Sorry but we are unable to board entire male cats over the age of 9 months. We also cannot accept any pregnant or nursing cats.
Only cats from the same household may be boarded together, however if it is felt necessary to separate the cats the additional costs must be met by the owner.
Boarding fees are calculated on a daily basis and a full day’s charge is charged for the day of arrival and departure regardless of arrival and departure time. At the time of booking, we will require a deposit of 50% of the total booking fee. Deposits must be paid within 48hrs or your booking will be deleted. The remaining balance is payable 7 Days before checking into the cattery.
Bookings for August and over the Christmas Holidays – these are payable in full at the time of booking. Bookings that include Christmas Day will be charged at a minimum of 5 days stay.
If you wish to collect your pet before the end of the agreed booking, then the whole booking fee will still be charged.
Any medical conditions or behavioural problems must be declared at the time of booking.
Due to cross contamination risks we are unable to board any cat with a known infectious condition or flea infestation. We suggest the use of a proprietary flea treatment (Please do not do this on the day of boarding). If a cat is found to have worms or fleas, then treatment will be given at the owner’s expense.
Cats must arrive at the cattery in a secure and suitable carrier, the carrier will be placed in the pen with your cat for the duration of their stay with us.
All cats MUST be healthy and fully vaccinated against Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu and have had a booster within the last 12 months or a recent Titre Test. Vaccinations should be given no less than 2 weeks before the boarding start date.
If vaccinations cannot be given for medical reasons, then an exemption letter must be supplied by your Veterinary Surgery.
If you cannot provide evidence of vaccinations, then boarding will be refused and your payment forfeited.
All cats will be inspected upon arrival and any collars will be removed before boarding to reduce the risk of any injury.
We are happy to administer tablet / liquid / powder prescribed medications, or injected. A separate form for medications must be filled in by the owner and are administered at the owner’s risk.
We will provide bowls beds and bedding for each cat. We also provide wood pellet litter, litter tray and scratch posts. You are welcome to bring along 1 small blanket or item of clothing to help settle your cat - all comfort items should be washable and are left at the owners' risk.
We ask that you bring along your own food, and that you provide enough food to cover the duration of the booking. If you do not supply enough food for the duration of your pets stay then we will supply extra food at the charge of £2.50 per cat, per day.
We supply heating and extra bedding in the chillier months at no extra cost.
We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or property howsoever caused whilst on the premises.
If during your cat’s stay we suspect that they are unwell we will make every effort to contact you, your own Veterinarian, or your authorised contact which you must provide details of before boarding.
If we are unable to make contact, then we will seek medical advice from our appointed vet, Pet Practice, Billingshurst. Willows Cattery provides free insurance which covers your cat for £2000.00 whilst in our care.
Any costs that are not covered by insurance must be reimbursed by the cat’s owner. A Vet Form must be signed prior to booking.
Any illness after leaving the cattery must be reported within 72hrs of checking out of the cattery.
If your pet is not collected from the Boarding Cattery within 7 days of your booking ending and we have had no contact with you, then we will class your pet as abandoned.
We will then take appropriate action to rehome the pet and seek to recover our costs through small claims court.
We require a minimum of 30 days notice to cancel or amend a booking so that we can issue a full refund or credit.
Bookings cancelled 8-29 days before the start of the booking - the 50% deposit is non-refundable. This will be collected as the Booking Fee.
Bookings cancelled or shortened with less than 7 days notice before the booking start date - the whole boarding fee is payable.
If the above conditions are not met, then we reserve the right to refuse entry to the Boarding Cattery
On occasion we will take photographs of our boarding cats to use for promotional purposes. Willows Cattery reserves the right in perpetuity to use these images without cost.
These images may be published on our website or social media pages.
By confirming and accepting your booking, Willows Cattery takes this as your agreement to our statement on the General Data Protection Regulations.
